Neurology is the medical subspecialty that treats disorders of the nervous system. This includes diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles. Some common problems that a neurologist will diagnose and treat are strokes, epilepsy (seizures), headaches, dementias (Alzheimer's disease), multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and various forms of pain. Neurologists may serve as consultants to other physicians as well as provide long-term care to patients with chronic neurological disorders.

Our Vascular Laboratory has been accredited by the ICAVL (The Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories) for Extracranial Cerebrovascular and Intracranial Cerebrovascular Testing since July 1998.

Our EEG Laboratory has been accredited by the EEG Laboratory Accreditation Board of ABRET (The American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists, Incorporated) in December 2010.

Successful accreditation means that our Vascular and EEG Laboratory's have met strict standards and is recognized as a place where patients and physicians can have confidence they are receiving quality diagnostics. In addition, our office is extremely proud to have exceeded the requirements of the Essentials and Standards by both the ICAVL and ABRET.
